What is Amazon Ads?

The Amazon Ads data source provides comprehensive advertising performance data from your Amazon Advertising campaigns.

This integration pulls data from multiple Amazon Ads report types including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display campaigns.

Data Available

Core Advertising Metrics

The Amazon Ads integration provides the following key metrics:

  • Impressions: Number of times your ads were displayed

  • Clicks: Number of clicks on your ads

  • Spend: Total advertising spend in your account currency

  • CPC (Cost Per Click): Calculated as spend divided by clicks

  • CPM (Cost Per Mille): Cost per thousand impressions

  • Platform Attributed Conversions: Number of conversions attributed to your ads

  • Platform Attributed Revenue: Revenue generated from advertising-attributed sales

  • Platform Attributed Units Sold: Number of units sold from advertising-attributed sales

Report Types

1. Sponsored Products Reports

Coverage: Product-level advertising data

Key Fields:

  • Campaign name and ID

  • Ad group name and ID

  • Product SKU and ASIN

  • Ad performance metrics

2. Sponsored Brands Reports (v3)

Coverage: Brand advertising campaign data

Key Fields:

  • Campaign name and ID

  • Ad group information

  • Brand-level performance metrics

Limitations:

  1. Conjura will not return legacy Sponsored Brands campaigns that were built pre-August 2023. Further details can be found here.

  2. Product level data (ASIN, SKU) is not returned by this API. To get around this, Conjura attempts to grab the ASIN from the campaign name, where available.

3. Sponsored Display Reports

Coverage: Display advertising campaigns

Key Fields:

  • Campaign and ad group details

  • Product information (SKU/ASIN)

  • Display ad performance metrics

4. Advertising Profiles

Coverage: Account-level profile information

Key Fields:

  • Store information (allowing us to connect ad spend to the relevant Amazon Seller store)

  • Advertising profile identifiers

Data Processing Notes

SKU Matching

The system attempts to match Amazon ASINs to your product SKUs through multiple methods:

  1. Direct SKU field from Amazon Ads reports.

  2. Lookup table matching ASINs to SKUs from historical data.

  3. Amazon Seller product data for missing SKUs.
